Agostinho dos Santos Gonçalves, David Savio

Abstract

The development of a nation depends exclusively on prepared and qualified human resources. Without qualified human resources, it is almost impossible to dream about development. Therefore, the RDTL government wants to develop the nation, it has to think first the quality of education because education through human potential will be developed and the objectification of qualified people will give a positive impact to national development. A teacher is a person who has a profession of educating, teaching, transmitting knowledge, inculcating and guiding others to develop their potentiality. Qualified teachers can produce qualified students. The research objectives are to analyze and discover the significant influence of teacher productivity on the quality of teaching-learning. Through questionnaires, it was sought to identify the productivity relationships of teachers and the quality of learning to teach. The population of this research is 40 students of the 12th grade of high school. A sample of this survey is 35 people of 140 population or 25% population. A technique that is used to analyze the data is quantitative analysis with simple linear regression technique. The research results show that there is a significant influence of teacher productivity on the quality of learning to teach. Where the simple linear regression line equation value is Ŷ = 5.298 + 0.839X, correlation coefficient value that is 0.851 with strong category. In addition, content = 9,317 larger than ttabel = 1,693 (tcontent = 9,317> ttabel = 1,693) and significant level 0.05, but reveal the null hypothesis (Ho) and accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Where the value of the determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.725, or 72.5% of teachers' productivity in the quality of learning to teach and the rest is 27.5% influenced by the other factors that are not analyzed in this research.
