TEACHER’S ROLE IN LEARNING MANAGEMENT TO IMPROVE BIOLOGY LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT

Abstract


School is a place to gather the most important components in educational settings such as Teachers, students, administrative staff, school guards in the hold of a formal process to create qualified nation's future generations. Effective classroom management is critical for effective instructional activities, in order for teachers to be able to manage the class well he or she should be able to anticipate the deviant behavior of the students and prevent such behavior in order to avoid any disturbance in the learning process in the classroom. The purpose of this research is to determine and describe the role of teachers in managing learning biology to improve learning achievement. The research was conducted at Escola Básica Central Pública 3º Ciclo Vasco da Gama Manatuto Villa during one month. To obtain research data, the authors were conducting interviews with 5 persons as respondents in order to provide good information and relevant to the reality they experienced. In analyzing qualitative research there were several stages: organizing data; grouping by category, themes, and patterns of answers; testing any assumptions or problems; finding alternative explanations for data and displaying the results. Classroom management during biology lesson is the process of controlling and monitoring both classroom condition as well as to students who do not perform optimally with. As a result, it often causes disturbance during the lesson since the class is too crowded. However, there is still a conscious effort to regulate the teaching and learning process systematically leading to the preparation of tools and props, setting classrooms, realizing the situation or condition of the learning process in order to generate an ideal condition and achieve the learning objectives. Thus, to improve student achievement teacher must pay attention to the level of skills achieved by students after participating in the learning process.
