STUDENTS ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT (Study on the Influence of Lecturer Performance and Creativity)

Abstract


This research aims to analyze and understand the influence of the performance and creativity of lecturers on students' academic achievement at the Institute Superior Cristal. This study conducted at the Institute Superior Cristal for the Department of Economics and Accounting. The population in this survey was 102 students, and the sample was 25 students. The sampling technique used was probability sampling in purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires. The test used in this research is the validity and reliability test, normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test and heteroscedasticity test, and hypothesis tests such as simultaneously testing or F test, and partial testing or t-test. Validity and reliability tests show that all the performance, creativity variables, and students' academic achievement are valid. Normality and linearity tests show that the results of the multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity tests have met the prerequisite test criteria. The hypothesis test simultaneously showed that performance and creativity variables influence students' academic achievement. Meanwhile partial analysis shows that student performance and creativity have no influence students' academic achievement. Based on the findings above, the researchers concluded that when both the performance and creativity of the lecturer go together, creativity will strengthen the performance of the teacher to influence the student's academic achievement; however, when not going together, the performance of the lecturer will not impact on students' academic achievement.
